BRINGING TOGETHER ACTIVISTS, ADVOCATES, SCHOLARS AND THE FOUNDERS OF THE STUDENT STRUGGLE FOR PUERTO RICAN AND LATINO STUDIES. IT IS A PRELUDE TO THE ENCUENTRO AT BROOKLYN COLLEGE WHERE THE DEPARTMENT OF PUERTO RICAN AND LATINO STUDIES HIGHLIGHTS THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF MEMBERS OF THE COLLEGE AND THE COMMUNITY FOR OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT AND SERVICE TO THE PUERTO RICAN AND LATINX COMMUNITY.
